A 5-year-old red panda, Leafa, gave birth to two red panda cubs on June 26th. The new born are the first ever red panda cubs born at Lincoln Park Zoo in USA. According to officials, the cubs weigh around 4-5 ounces and are not currently visible to the public nor will be for some time. The cubs are going to be under the care of their mother for up to three months. Contrary to popular belief, red pandas are not related to pandas and genetically belong to a unique family.
