Watch | Imprisoned mothers get a chance to raise their babies

Very few prisons in the US allow babies born behind bars to live together with their mothers. Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in New York is one such prison. Normally the babies are given to a relative or foster care within a day. Not all corrections experts support raising babies behind bars, arguing prison should be reserved for punishment and the focus should be on what's best for the baby.
