Zardari says his victory is completion of democracy

Pakistan after facing political turmoil for a long time finally elected Asif Ali Zardari as President on Saturday. Zardari, who had been widely expected to win, secured 480 out of 702 Electoral College votes, according to unofficial Election Commission results. Zardari hailed his victory as the completion of the democratic process. Members of the two chamber parliament and four provincial assemblies voted on a replacement for army Chief Pervez Musharraf.
