Videos circulating on social media show a large fire engulfing the upper floors of a high-rise building in the Bronx, New York, following a reported explosion. Multiple fatalities and injuries have been reported, though officials have not yet confirmed casualty figures.

AZ Intel reported that the incident may have been caused by a gas explosion.
Footage shared online captures thick black smoke pouring from the building as flames rip through several upper-floor apartments. In some clips, residents can be seen hanging out of windows, apparently attempting to escape the smoke-filled interiors. Other videos show emergency lights flashing below as responders work to secure the area.
According to GB News, more than 200 firefighters and emergency personnel rushed to the scene shortly after midnight local time. The New York City Fire Department confirmed it was responding to a four-alarm fire at a 17-story residential building in the Bronx.
FDNY said the fire spread across multiple apartments, with crews battling heavy smoke and intense flames on the upper floors.

Social media reports and early accounts suggested multiple injuries and possible fatalities, but authorities have not yet verified those claims.
