Tyler Robinson's alleged shooter, Charlie Kirk, is no longer under the protection of the FBI, as his trans partner, Lance Twiggs, has been removed from their custody.
The 22-year-old gained significant media attention after his partner was accused of murdering the right-wing activist last year.
Currently, Twiggs is reported to be residing with his parents as the trial for his partner approaches, and it is uncertain if he has communicated with the accused since the arrest that took place last year, Blast reported.

Did FBI issue any statement?
The FBI did not provide any public justification for withdrawing the protection from Robinson's transgender partner.

Although he was not charged with any offense, a four-person security detail from the FBI was assigned to him, ostensibly for his protection.
The agency has rescinded the protective services that were previously allocated to the 22-year-old, reported Fox News Digital.
At this time, the rationale behind this decision remains unclear, as the FBI has not issued a public statement. The agency also did not specify whether the security detail had been substituted with one from local law enforcement.
Nevertheless, it is likely that the protection was lifted because the agency determined that with Robinson in custody and no credible threats against Twiggs, it was no longer deemed necessary.
Robinson's trial
A date for Robinson's trial has not yet been established, as the case remains in its preliminary phases. He made his initial in-person court appearance in December and is anticipated to appear again on January 16 and January 30.
