"Yes, a trial must be held against him," Khan told the Pakistani Aaj News Television in an interview, which was aired from Karachi on August 31.

"Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti's (Baluch leader) murder, Red Mosque operation, and Musharraf's action against the Supreme Court judges are just a few of his crimes," Khan said, according to the English translation of the interview done by the Directorate of National Intelligence's Open Source Center.

A copy of it was obtained by the Secrecy News of the Federation of American Students (FAS).

It was Musharraf, who put him under house arrest for several years on charges of nuclear proliferation. He was released from house arrest early this year.

Khan alleged that the Musharraf regime "pressured and threatened" him to give a confessional statement on proliferation of nuclear technology.
