US President Barack Obama on Tuesday urged "consequences" for the use of chemical weapons in Syria, warning that the world's credibility was at stake.

US President Barack Obama on Tuesday urged "consequences" for the use of chemical weapons in Syria, warning that the world's credibility was at stake.

"There must be a strong Security Council resolution to verify that the Assad regime is keeping its commitments, and there must be consequences if they fail to do so," Obama told the UN General Assembly.
