Downing Street admitted Monday that Cameron and wife Samantha accidentally left their eight-year-old daughter in a pub after a Sunday lunch with some friends. Pub staff found Nancy in a toilet.

Nancy, who was with her two siblings, wandered off as their parents were preparing to leave in two cars, The Sun newspapers said of the two-month-old incident.

When they returned to Chequers, the official country house of British PMs, Camerons were horrified to find their eldest child missing.

"Samantha thought the PM had Nancy, the PM thought Sam had Nancy," a Downing Street spokeswoman said.

A "distraught" PM dashed back to the Plough Inn and was with his daughter in 15 minutes.

The spokeswoman wouldn't say if the PM had alcohol. But the report follows revelations that Cameron's "chillaxing" weekends include three or four glasses of wine with lunch, karaoke and tennis.

A pub insider said staff was at a loss when they found Nancy.
