A Delta Air Lines plane carrying 139 passengers from Orlando, Florida, has made an emergency landing at John F Kennedy International Airport.

A Delta Air Lines spokesman says an indicator light yesterday warned of possible problems with the airplane's hydraulics, which power its wings and landing gear.

The spokesman says the five-member crew decided to land at JFK instead of LaGuardia Airport as a precaution because JFK has a longer runway.
