Seven of the remaining 18 incomplete Metro stations will be finished by April 25 while all works in the stations
on the Green Line will be completed by August 2011, Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has said.

Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA said the criteria upon which the stations to
be operated on April 25, 2010 had been selected as "availability of population density in the locality served by
each station so as to provide convenient services to the inhabitants in the neighbourhood."

Other criteria include availability of commercial activities in the area served by each station, availability of
government activities in the vicinity of each station, the station integration with other transport modes such as buses
and water transport means, and the projected number of commuters at each station, he said.

Al Tayer also said that RTA has agreed with Dubai Rail Link (DURL) consortium undertaking Dubai Metro Project to
prioritise the outstanding works of the project.
