Earthquake jolts north-eastern Iran

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted the Kadekan region in Iran's north-eastern province of Razavi Khorassan.

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale on Friday jolted the Kadekan region in Iran's north-eastern province of Razavi Khorassan, IRNA news agency reported.

The quake occurred at 11:10 GMT, Geophysics Institute of Tehran University said. No reports of casualty or damage have been reported so far.

On Thursday, another quake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale had jolted the Kadekan region. There were no casualties.
