Britain’s Prince Harry is to be sent on an equality awareness course by army chiefs after he was caught on camera using the word ‘Paki’.
He would have to attend an equality and diversity course in an effort to drive home to him just how offensive and damaging his insensitive remarks are. His latest blunder will also be written permanently into his Army record.
The Army Top Brass took considerable time in reviewing Harry’s racist remark.
It seems the announcement of action taken against him was hastened because of the publication in Daily Mirror a day earlier that Harry had told black comic Stephen K Amos when they met at Prince Charles’ 60th birthday last November, “You don’t sound like a black chap.”
Prime Minister Gordon Brown was among those who condemned Harry for using the term.
But according to a senior military insider, quoted in the Daily Mirror, Harry’s military career “will not suffer”. “Although this matter will go on Harry’s record it will not go against him.”
