A fire at a Chinese old people's home killed seven residents as they slept early on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency said.
The fire broke out after midnight in an apartment in a building in Wenzhou in the eastern province of Zhejiang, killing five men and two women.

"It's such a tragedy as they were too old to escape," a fire brigade official was quoted as saying.
