France could extend its military operations over Libya beyond the Benghazi area from Wednesday, a spokesman for the French armed forces said on Tuesday.
Amid reports of divisions between coalition partners, the spokesman also told a news briefing that France's armed forces chief had informed its allies of all its operations before launching air strikes in Libya on Saturday.
