Haj building collapses; 15 killed

Initial reports said at least 39 people were injured and rescue teams were still searching for more people.

At least 15 people were killed on Thursday after a building collapsed in Mecca as pilgrims gathered in the Muslim holy city for the Haj pilgrimage, Saudi state television said.

The television said at least 39 people were injured and that rescue teams were still searching for more people beneath the rubble.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates said four of its citizens had died in the incident.
