The commission meeting was held at the Islamabad High Court building.

The three-member judicial commission is headed by Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court Qazi Faez Issa. Chief justices of Islamabad and Sindh high courts are the other members.

The former Pakistani envoy said he did not receive any notice from the commission to appear before it, but would appear when he receives it, Geo News reported.

In another development, his lawyer Asma Jehangir refused to represent Haqqani in the memo case, saying she has "no confidence" in the commission.

"I quit as Haqqani's lawyer but my client will pursue his case," Jehangir told the daily Dawn Sunday.

Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq said the commission will write to a foreign company to obtain the records of the telephonic calls between Haqqani and Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz.
