Muhammad Naeem, a 25-year-old resident of the Uttar Pradesh, suffered a heart attack on Thursday and died in the hospital in Kot Lakhpat jail, police officials claimed.

The officials said Naeem, the son of Muhammad Ahmad, was imprisoned on charges of over-staying in Pakistan in March. His body was sent for an autopsy.

Officials said the Indian High Commission would be informed about the incident and arrangements would be made to send Naeem's body back to India.
