United States Defence Secretary Robert Gates has described Indo-US defence ties quite good.
At a press briefing Gates, however, refused to comment on India's role in Afghanistan.
"Well, I don't want to get into India's military role, but I would say that the relationship between ourselves and India is quite good, and remarkably better than when I left government 14 years ago," he said.
