Several Iranian soldiers were killed in an explosion that rocked a military base in the western province of Lorestan today, Iran's Arabic-language Al-Alam TV reported.
The channel, quoting an unnamed military source, said that "some soldiers have been killed in the accidental blast" which took place in the Imam Ali military base, located outside the provincial capital of Khorramabad.

State news agency IRNA had previously reported that several soldiers were wounded in the explosion.
