Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray is set to face criminal charges in the singer's death on Monday, Los Angeles County district attorney's office said.
The statement from prosecutors said a case pertaining to Jackson's death will be filed at that courthouse, but it did not name Murray or specify the charges, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The cardiologist, who was Jackon's deathbed doctor, will be charged with involuntary manslaughter for administering the combination of sedatives and anesthetic blamed in the singer's June death, the newspaper said quoting numerous sources.
Murray had acknowledged to police that he gave Jackson an intravenous dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol shortly before his death, according to court documents.
Prosecutors originally planned to file the case on Friday, according to law enforcement sources, who said the case was delayed after a dispute arose with Murray's defense team on Thursday over the details of his surrender.
Murray, who owns a home in Nevada and works in Houston, has moved to Los Angeles area as he awaits charges. The doctor, through his attorney, has said that he wants to surrender rather than be arrested.
