For all the talk about Formula 1 not being a sport, drivers have time and again shown fitness is as much a part of their lives as the risk, glamour and money.
Formula 1 champion Jenson Button, who saw his McLaren reduced to a mere midfield contender last year, spent the last day of 2013 making an impressive display of couples yoga with his fashion model girlfriend, Jessica Michibata.
Michibata shared pictures of their yoga on Twitter. With Hawaii as the backdrop, the couple made impressive displays of their physical prowess.
In the first picture, Michibata is resting on Button’s bent knees, in a seemingly delicate balance as she reaches down to kiss the Briton.
"And my boyfriend joins me to make it even more perfect #coupleyoga," read the accompanying message on her Tweet.
The pair has been known for their obsession with fitness. While their yoga display may be new, the couple has run a number of marathons. For charity, endorsements or to just mark their anniversary, Button and Michibata don’t need much reason to break into a run.
