Hollywood funny man Jim Carrey may be all of 48, but he has already become a grandfather and is bursting with pride over the birth of a baby boy to his daughter.

Hollywood funny man Jim Carrey may be all of 48, but he has already become a grandfather and is bursting with pride.

The Bruce Almighty star's daughter Jane Carrey has given birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on Friday, Contactmusic reported.

Jane and her husband Alex Santana welcomed their first child, christened Jackson Riley Santana.

The 48-year-old actor took to his Twitter page to announce the happy news, posting a photo of the sleeping newborn wrapped in a blanket with the caption, "Jackson Riley Santana, My grandson, born today! This is what 7lbs (pounds) 11oz (ounces) of California dynamite looks like!"

Jane is Carrey's only child from his first marriage to Melissa Womer.

He is currently in a relationship with actress/model Jenny McCarthy.
