In a new twist to the much publicised adoption episode, James Kambawa the biological father of four- year -old Mercy James has written to the US Embassy asking them to refuse Mercy a visa, reported Mirror online.

"I am devastated. I did not even know that the judges were making a ruling about Madonna adopting my child on that day. I feel betrayed by my countrymen who gave me a deaf ear because I am poor and Madonna is rich," Kambewa said.

The singer has succeeded in getting her adoption plea approved by the Supreme Court of the country after pumping in USD 12 million into the povertystricken nation to prove her commitment to the cause of child welfare.

"I will fight until my last drop of blood to have the right to my daughter," 24 year-old Kambewa added.

Other aides will also care for the four-year-old while adoption papers and visas are arranged.

Once the papers are ready, a private jet will take Mercy to the US to join new sister Lourdes, 12, and brothers — Rocco, eight, and David, three.
