Portugal has recorded 149 cases of swine flu in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases since May to 884, the health ministry said.
The spike in cases was the highest in a single day in the country but no deaths have been reported thus far.

The ministry said 11 people had been hospitalised for the A(H1N1) virus.
