Nepal police on Monday seized 452 kgs of 'hashish' from a western Kathmandu village, touted as the largest drug haul this year, police said.

The Narcotic Drug Control Unit of the Police arrested Ram Lama, 30, a resident of Makawanpur district in connection with the hashish racket.

Lama was found to be involved in collecting and producing hashish in the area and selling it in the domestic market, the police said.

This is probably the largest amount of hashish recovered from Kathmandu in the year. The police is further investigating into the matter after taking Lama into custody.
