An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale on Sunday jolted the eastern Philippine province of Aurora, the country's volcanology and seismology institute Philvocs said.

The quake occurred at 1201 GMT. No reports of damage or casualty have been reported.

Philvocs said the quake was of tectonic origin and was also felt in the Philippine capital.
