British Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband says there are difficult issues to resolved on financing and emissions targets to reach a global climate change agreement with only five days remaining at the U.N. talks.
Sharp divisions remain between rich and poor countries on emissions cuts and money for developing nations to deal with climate change and shift to cleaner energy.
Miliband said Monday that it's up to him and his counterparts in Copenhagen to help bridge that gap and "not to leave everything" to world leaders who start arriving Wednesday for the last days of the summit.
Miliband said countries need to offer more than fast-start financing for developing countries, noting that the British have called for a yearly fund of $100 billion by 2020.
