"The Russian and American presidents made a statement on Afghanistan. That statement defined our common approaches to the solution of Afghan problems, including stabilization, efficiency of local authorities, army and security forces that will help Afghanis to be responsible for their own future," he said.

"We put down things about which Russia has been speaking for a long time. It is necessary to crush drug laboratories," he said. "It is important to prevent the deliveries of precursors to Afghanistan, because it is impossible to produce heroin without precursors. There are no precursors in Afghanistan. They are mostly supplied from Europe," Lavrov said.
