The blast took place on Saturday at around 4:20 pm (local time) in the plant at Pingqiao village, a spokesman for the provincial work safety bureau was today quoted as saying by the state-run Xinhua news agency.

Five workers died on the spot while one succumbed to his burn injuries in the hospital, the authorities said adding that an investigations is on in this regard.
