Six persons have been killed in two separate incidents of target killings here leading to tension and protests in some parts of the city.

According to police, at least four persons were killed in Korangi area yesterday when motorcycle-borne unidentified assailants gunned down the victims who were riding in a car.
Four more people were shot at in Surjani Town. They were rushed to hospital where two expired while the other two are in critical condition.
Target killings have claimed around 250 lives in the last eight months here, police said, adding sectarian and ethnic violence were behind these deaths.
Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik, on a recent visit here, had claimed that those involved in these target killings would not be spared.
Barley two days later, four activists of the Taliban-linked militant outfit Jundullah managed to escape from city courts after their associates lobbed grenades and resorted to heavy firing in the busy area.
The four had been arrested in connection with target killings in the city.
Many of the recent killings have been attributed to sectarian violence with Shiite muslims being targeted in many cases.
Police claimed that banned religious outfits were involved in these killings, while Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party blamed each other for the target shootings.
