Small earthquake rattles Northern California

A small earthquake rattled parts of Northern California. The US Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.5 quake struck on Sunday at 1:17 p.m. PDT about six miles (10 kilometres) south of Covelo in Mendocino County.

A small earthquake rattled parts of Northern California. The US Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.5 quake struck on Sunday at 1:17 p.m. PDT about six miles (10 kilometres) south of Covelo in Mendocino County.

The epicentre was about 120 miles (193 kilometres) from west of Sacramento. No damage was reported.

The quake was about 150 miles (240 kilometres) north of the epicentre of a magnitude 6.0 temblor that caused extensive damage in Napa and the surrounding area on August 24.
