Media reports say that the Taliban have demanded Rs 1.25 crore ransom for releasing Robin Singh.

Two days back, two Sikh men were beheaded by Taliban. Some more members of the minority community are still reported to be in the custody of the Taliban.

There is wide spread anger in India over the kidnappings and killings of Sikhs and New Delhi has put diplomatic pressure on Islamabad to ensure safety of its minority communities.

Indian government is also likely to take up the matter during February 25 Foreign Secretary level meeting with Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has strongly condemned the killings.
