Three shot dead at US shopping centre

A gunman shoots dead two people in a parking lot of the War Parkway Centre in Missouri before being killed.

Three people were killed and at least two others wounded in a shooting incident at a US shopping mall, media reports said.

A gunman on Sunday shot dead two people in a parking lot of the War Parkway Centre, 15 kms south of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, a private news channel reported.

The gunman then went inside the shopping centre and fired more shots. At least two people were wounded in the mall, said the police, who then shot the gunman dead.

Sunday's shooting occurs nearly two weeks after the deadliest shooting incident in US history. On April 16, 33 people, including the gunman, were killed in Virginia Tech, a state university in Blacksburg, Virginia.
