A Philippines army sergeant went on a shooting frenzy in the army headquarters in the capital Manila, killing two soldiers and wounding two others before escaping, the military said on Thursday.

The suspect, identified by the military as Sergeant Elias Tial, carried out the shooting on Wednesday inside army headquarters.
Authorities were still searching for Tial, the statement said, adding that Tial may have been upset by the recent deaths of his father and uncle.
