The attacker entered the sessions court with a pistol and fired several shots at Ali Imran Butt and Zeshan Butt while proceedings were underway in their murder trial.

The gunman escape after the shooting but left his pistol at the spot, police officials said.

The brothers were taken to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

The motive for the killings could not immediately be ascertained.
