The US on Thursday said sanctions, no-fly zone and military actions were among the options against Libya on the table, but it refused to either prioritise them or give a timeline.

Even as it initiated talks with world leaders to find common voice, indications show the US is just waiting to get its citizens out of Libya before showing its cards on Muammar Gaddafi, which is not likely to be flattering to the troubled leader. US President Barack Obama spoke to French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi and British Prime Minister David Cameron on Thursday on Libya.
