Veteran leader of Nepali Congress Bal Bahadur Rai who had performed the task of acting prime minister today passed away at a hospital in Kathmandu after an illness.
Rai, 90 was suffering from various diseases including Kidney failure. The former minister has been associated with NC since its inception.

He has also served under various ministries and also took responsibility of acting prime minister from time to time during the long political career. Nepali Congress party has expressed deep condolence to the deceased Rai.
