A woman US soldier was killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Baghdad the US military said on Saturday.
The victim was killed on Thursday when a roadside bomb struck her patrol in an area south of Baghdad, a military statement said.
Three airmen were also killed on Thursday near Balad airbase, 80 km north of Baghdad, an earlier statement said.
The latest deaths bring the number of US soldiers killed in Iraq close to 3,850 since the breakout of the US-led war on Iraq in 2003, according to Pentagon figures.
