Team India’s World Cup run ended at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The fans were left shocked as the team was dumped out in the semifinals.

While most agreed that India had a terrible day on the field, some people decided to troll Anushka Sharma for the loss of Virat Kohli's wicket and the subsequent batting collapse. It did not matter that Anushka was not the one doing the batting, bowling or fielding. Some carried notes of dejection, others sarcasm, but a few were nasty. Readers, you be the judge of that.

Some of the most unpleasant tweets came from Kamaal R Khan.

The hits just kept on coming

But lets get a few things clear, first it's Virat who failed with the bat not Anushka, second Kohli is a great batsman but that does not make him immune to failure and finally, it is idiotic to to harass someone over a silly superstition (panauti).

But it was heartening to see a lot of people speak up against the idiocy that was being spewed against Anushka and Virat.

Kamaal Khan also deservedly got some stick for his foolish tirade.

Team India failed to reach the finals despite it's strong run up to the semis because of the team put on a poor performance, their only one this tournament. Anushka has nothing to do with it.
