Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya is unstoppable at the box office. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film garnered Rs 12.08 crore on Holi, Monday. The collection is impressive considering that not too many prefer to venture out on Holi. At many places, cinema halls also remain close for half day.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film’s business figures.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania, second in the franchise that started with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania in 2014, opened big on Friday, March 10, with a kitty of Rs 12.25 crore and maintained the momentum for the next four days.
However, it’s real test will start on Tuesday when offices will reopen after the long weekend.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania, produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, is a love story between a Jhansi boy and a Kota girl. Critics have praised the film for its progressive approach.
