John Abraham played a pivotal role in Dhoom (2004). But the actor didn’t star in the other instalments of the film franchise.
Ask him if he would like to return to the Dhoom series, and he says, “I have to say this on record that the man I love and admire the most is Aditya Chopra. I love him and I really respect him. I would love to go back to Dhoom.
He just has to call me, and I will take a bike and straightaway enter his office (laughs). He is one of the few people who knows how to position me correctly in a film. I have done three movies with him — Dhoom, Kabul Express (2006) and New York (2009) — and they have all been lovely. I would love to do any film with him. He is an institution in himself. There is a lot to learn from him.”
The Bollywood actor was also supposed to be part of another big franchise — Phir Hera Pheri 3. But there hasn’t been any news of the film in the recent months.
“I don’t know what happened. Firoz Nadiadwallah (producer) would know about it. I have shot for 10 days for the film. Suniel Shetty was part of the movie too, but later he dropped out. Then Abhishek Bachchan dropped out, and I was the last man standing. Then I think Firoz dropped out too. I request Hindustan Times to please pass on any information they get about the film to me because I would like to know myself (laughs),” he says.
