While Sarbjit proved to be a dud at BO with Rs 13.9 crore earning, X-Men emerged the winner with Rs 16.2 1 crore.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chaddha-starrer Sarbjit has failed to catch the audience’s fancy. After a dismal Rs 3.69 crore opening on Friday, the movie only managed a measly Rs 13.96 crore in three days since its release. On the other hand, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence-starrer X-Men: Apocalypse earned Rs 16.21 crore over the weekend.

Sarbjit’s collections increased on Saturday and Sunday but the figures remained disappointing. The film earned Rs 4.56 crore on Saturday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Monday.

Sarbjit is a film based on the life and struggles of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian man who was wrongly convicted for bomb blasts in Pakistani jail and languished there for years even as his sister Dalbir waged a lone battle to prove his innocence. Aishwarya Rai essayed the role of Dalbir in the film directed by Oomung Kumar while Randeep Hooda played the titular character.
