Edgar Ramirez stars as Roberto Duran and Robert De Niro as his trainer Ray Arcel in the first trailer for the boxing movie Hands of Stone.
The biopic traces the life story of Duran, played by Edgar Ramirez, who grows up in the slums of Panama to become one of the top boxers in the world. Duran began fighting professionally at 16 and retired at 50. In 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard (played by Usher) to capture the WBC welterweight title.

He shocked the world during a rematch in November, when he returned to his corner and famously uttered the words “no mas” (no more), giving up the fight.
Duran was nicknamed ‘hands of stone’ for his punching power. The film marks the return of De Niro to the boxing film - he earned widespread acclaim for his performance in Raging Bull. But like Sylvester Stallone in last year’s Creed, he is now the trainer. The film also stars R&B star Usher as Sugar Ray Leonard.
The film, directed by Venezuelan Jonathan Jakubowicz, hits theatres this summer.
