At Rs 84 crore, Himachal CM’s son is richest candidate in this election

HT brings out top 10 richest candidates in the Himachal Pradesh.

As Monday was the last date for filing nominations for the November 9 polls, HT brings out top 10 richest candidates in the state.

1) Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh has assets totalling Rs 84.32 crore.

Constituency - Shimla Rural

By the way - Son of CM Virbhadra Singh he owns farmland in parts of Himachal.

2) Congress’ GS Bali declared assets worth Rs 47.67 crore.

Constituency - Nagrota Bhawan

By the way- Transport minister in the Virbhadra government, he owns malls, a hotel and a hospital.

3) BJP’s Anil Sharma has assets totalling Rs 37 crore.

By the way - Son of former Union minister Sukh Ram, he recently quit Congress to join BJP.

4) Congress’ Virbhadra Singh (Himachal Pradesh CM) has declared assets totalling Rs 30.5 crore.

By the way - The six-time CM is scion of former royal family of Bushahr. He is facing disproportionate assets case.

5) Congress’ Rajinder Rana has assets worth Rs 26.7 crore.

Constituency - Sujanpur

By the way - A social worker and a realtor, Rana owns property in Punjab too.

7) Independent candidate Prakash Rana has declared assets totalling Rs 20.8 crore.

8) BJP’s Maheshwar Singh declared assets amounting to Rs 18 crore.

Constituency - Kullu

By the way - Scion of Kullu royal family, Singh owns a palace and land in Kullu.

9) Congress’ Anirudh Singh declared assets worth Rs 16.22 crore.

Constituency - Kasumpti

By the way - Anirudh is scion of royal family of Koti. He and his family members have stakes in hotel and education business.

10) Independent candidate Prithvi Vikram Sen declared assets worth Rs 6.85 crore.
