Modi inaugurates All India Institute of Ayurveda Highlights: PM says ayurveda and yoga can be effective for soldiers

The institute has already started working to facilitate patient care, research and bridging the breach in the scientific information about quality, safety and usefulness of Ayurveda products.

On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) at Delhi’s Sarita Vihar on Tuesday.

The first ever AIIA has been set up along the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Build up as an apex institute under the ministry of AYUSH, the institution is expected to bring synergy between the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda and modern diagnostic tools and technology.
