A British woman has filed a police complaint against India hockey skipper Sardar Singh that he has backed out of the relationship and is now refusing to marry her.
A British woman has filed a police complaint against India hockey skipper Sardar Singh that he has backed out of the relationship and is now refusing to marry her.
The woman filed a complaint at the Koom Kalan police station at Sri Bhaini Shaib in Ludhiana on Tuesday.
Both met during the 2012 London Olympics and she also visited Sardar’s village Sant Nagar in Sirsa last year and joined him during the team’s European tour last year.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that Sardar had physical relationship following which she got pregnant. Later, on Sardar’s insistence, she had an abortion. The woman stated that they got engaged but later Sardar refused to marry her and stopped taking her calls.
Sub-Inspector Surjit Singh Nagra, SHO at police station Koom Kalan, confirmed the complaint, but said the police would register a case only after verifying facts.
