Even as aides of slain gangster Dilbag Singh alias Lamma Patti Wala are posting messages on the Facebook in his support, police have failed to make any arrest. Lamma was killed in a gang war on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday near Tarn Taran.

On Thursday, a number of messages were posted on the Facebook, regretting Lamma’s killing. A Facebook account— ‘Sharp Shooter Mafia’—reads that Davinder Bambiha and his aides killed Lamma in captivity by gagging him. Senior superintendent of Police (SSP) Manmohan Sharma said a probe was underway and SP (detective) Jagmohan Singh is looking into the matter. He said details of the incident would be disclosed after the investigations were over. He said Lamma’s aide Akul Khatri is still unconscious.

Khatri’s mother Honey said he had regained consciousness for some moments and told her that he was kidnapped and was kept at Kantahpur village near Mehta Chowk in Amritsar district.

A case has been registered against gangster Davinder Bambiha and his aides Goru Bacha and Money.
