Game of Thrones’ final season begins shoot? New set pic could be a spoiler

A leaked picture from the sets of Game of Thrones’ final season suggests the increased involvement of the Dothraki, a tribe of warriors led by Daenerys Targaryen.

It has only been a few weeks since HBO’s hit fantasy show, Game of Thrones, wrapped its record-breaking penultimate season and we already have a leaked set picture from what is purportedly the show’s final season.

Daenerys Targaryen was once taken prisoner by the Dothraki.

The Spanish site Los Siete Reinos shared a picture from Titanic Studios in Belfast, where the show is shot. In the image, a small Dothraki hut can be seen stored just outside the soundstage - the kind of structure we’ve often seen on the show.

The seventh season ended with the Night King mounting Visyrion - one of Daenerys Targaryen’s three dragons - and bringing the North Wall down. Presumably, the final season will feature several battle scenes between the Night King’s army of undead and the alliance forged by Daenerys and Jon Snow.

Daenerys commands thousands of Dothraki soldiers, and the leaked image suggests they will be involved in some manner in the upcoming season, which is rumoured to have been delayed due to weather, and an increase in the size of production.

The final season is rumoured to premiere sometime in 2019. HBO has kept options for up to four spinoffs open.
