Watch | ‘World’s oldest’ library in Morocco to open to public
The al Qarawiyyin library in Morocco, widely believed to be the oldest in the world, is undergoing restoration work before being opened to the public. It was founded in the 9th century by a woman and is home to numerous unique books. One of the most prized books is the Quran, written in ornate Kufic script on camel skin during the 9th century.
