Adarsh Nagar Delhi Election Result 2020: AAP’s Pawan Sharma wins, BJP’s Rajkumar Bhatia breaks down

Delhi assembly election results 2020 latest update: Counting of votes is completed for Adarsh Nagar Assembly seat. AAP’s candidate Pawan Sharma has won the seat with 46K votes.

Adarsh Nagar is a suburban assembly seat that comes under the North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Counting of votes is about to end. Currently, Pawan Sharma of AAP has won the seat by securing 46808 votes. He was contesting against BJP candidate Raj Kumar Bhatia and INC candidate Mukesh Kumar Goel.

BJP candidate Raj Kumar Bhatia broke down after coming out of the counting centre. He said, “Sometimes efforts lose to luck. We work hard, but....” He came out and conceded his defeat and told that he has lost. However, the ECI has not confirmed the results yet.

After 13th round of counting, AAP has secured 46808 votes, BJP has got 45066 votes while INC has bagged 9986 votes in Adarsh Nagar.

The constituency had 1,57,749 registered voters in 2015. In 2015 elections Pawan Kumar Sharma (AAP) had won the seat with a margin of 20,741 votes.
